Flesh Impact takes its title from a phrase once used to describe Marilyn Monroe’s aura – that she looked so real and luminous on camera that viewers felt they could touch her through the screen. Stars: Ellen Burstyn, Dakota Johnson, Peter Sarsgaard, and Sepideh Moafi. The film is presented by Genesis and is a joint production of Superprime, INNOCEAN USA, and The Cut. A mysterious elderly woman auditions at a small New York City black box theater. Not official — our suggestion: the free City lot at Sunset Center's North Lot, entered on 8th Ave between San Carlos & Mission (no time limit; about a 6-minute walk west on 8th to Monte Verde). Street parking around the theatre is free, but downtown blocks are posted 2-hour or 30-minute — read the sign. Vista Lobos (3rd Ave & Torres, free) is a backup, roughly 15–20 minutes on foot; no parking there 11:30pm–6am. The theatre has one accessible space out front on Monte Verde.
